Will there come a day
where peace is not a prayer?

when we smile at each other?
The world is vast,
but the mind is narrow
and divided by hatred,
party lines, and religious mummery.
Can there be a moment -
a millisecond, a thought -
where we can recognize
the divinity of every person,
every enemy, every being
on the planet
and live in peace?
